◆Red Box Japan

The Red Box Project, originating in the United Kingdom, is a charitable initiative aimed at supporting menstruating young people by supplying schools with red boxes filled with essential sanitary products.

In December 2019, Japan established "Red Box Japan" with the mission to combat "Period Poverty" within the country.

"Period Poverty":

"Period Poverty" refers to the inability to afford or access menstrual products. It encompasses not only the lack of sanitary items but also inadequate education about menstruation. Globally, menstruation has long been considered a taboo, leading to missed opportunities for crucial activities such as attending school and participating in sports.

◆Japan Cancer Society

In Japan, approximately 1 million people receive a new cancer diagnosis annually, with one in two individuals facing a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. Cancer stands as the leading cause of death in the country, accounting for about 30% of all mortalities.

Since its establishment in 1958, the Japan Cancer Society has been dedicated to the noble mission of "eliminating suffering and sadness caused by cancer." For over 60 years, we have spearheaded a multitude of initiatives in the private sector to combat cancer. Our efforts span cancer prevention and screening promotion, support services for patients and their families, and the dissemination of accurate cancer-related information. Our ultimate aim is to build a society where individuals can find hope amidst a cancer diagnosis.

About the Smile Fund:

Donations to the Smile Fund are utilized to advance early detection and appropriate treatment strategies for cancer. This includes funding breast cancer screening programs, offering free telephone consultations for cancer-related queries, distributing free coupons for screenings, conducting pink ribbon awareness campaigns, providing training for medical professionals and specialists, and supporting research into new breast cancer screening methods.

About the "Fund for the Protection of Women from Gynecologic Cancer“:

This fund focuses on raising awareness about gynecological cancers such as cervical cancer and increasing vaccination rates and cervical cancer screening uptake. Donations primarily support activities aimed at introducing a new testing method for cervical cancer, utilizing a "self-collected HPV test kit" that enables sample collection at home.

◆ Women in Exhibitions Network

In 2023, we launched our partnership with Women in Exhibitions (WIE), aimed at empowering women in the exhibitions industry while nurturing the next generation of female leaders. This initiative perfectly aligns with our focus on femtech, which is about empowering women. Now, we're committed to furthering this mission by actively implementing gender equity initiatives within RX. This partnership not only supports women within RX but also strengthens our industry-wide efforts to create a more inclusive and diverse environment for all.

◆ RX’s Net Zero Roadmap
